Two New Marvel/Sony Movies Scheduled for 2023
In a Tweet sent on Friday, October 22nd, 2021, the Discussing Film Twitter account reported that two new movies have been added to the Marvel Universe schedule – and they look to be collaborative productions between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. This can mean only one thing, Marvel Blog True Believers: Spider-Man! Or, perhaps more accurately: Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends!

This is just the most recent schedule shuffle for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two movies that have been newly added are scheduled for June 23rd, 2023, and October 6th, 2023.
SPOILER WARNING: If you haven’t seen the most recent Marvel movies, this post may contain some spoilers!
Make Mine Spidey
Currently, Sony Pictures owns the rights to make movies featuring Spider-Man characters. However, thanks to a deal between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, many of the Spider-Man characters can appear in the Marvel Studios-produced MCU movies (although there are some limitations as a result of the deal – for example, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home is some of the only Marvel content you can’t stream on Disney+ these days).
And as we know from the end-credits scene of Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, it seems as though Venom has already arrived in the MCU (just in time to catch J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) revealing Spidey’s true identity).
Could this mean that one of these two announced movies might be the showdown between Spider-Man and Venom? We can’t say for sure, Marvel Blog True Believers… But one thing’s for certain: a lot of people would be very excited to learn this was the case!
