REVIEW: Party of Four in Fantastic Four Infinity Comic #1
In Fantastic Four Infinity Comic #1 by Zac Gorman, Stefano Landini, Ian Herring, and Joe Sabino, featuring characters created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, we get to check in on (most of) the Fantastic Four as they go out on a double date… at an interdimensional restaurant!

Eat at Zavo’s
One of the parts of this episode that I really enjoyed is the fact that we get to see these familiar superheroes taking part in some slice-of-life activities… in this case, The Thing and Alicia Masters go on a double date with Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm!

All of the details surrounding the restaurant they visit are interesting, from the portal used to enter to the interesting food on the tables of other patrons to the way that the menus are hovering holographic images. Plus, we get to see some of the business-related concerns that arise when you are hosting beings from multiple dimensions (hint: you don’t want them fighting).

All in all, this seems like a very intriguing location, and I can’t help but hope that we can someday visit Zavo’s Interdimensional Restaurant at Avengers Campus or the Hotel New York.

And my favorite character in this issue was ever-lovin’ The Thing! He grumbles about the holographic menus and claims he can speak French (but it comes out sounding a lot like Spanish). Plus, there are some hints that his abilities have been dampened by the field installed by Reed Richards for Zavo, so we’ll have to see how that element of the story plays out in subsequent episodes.
