Disney+ Confirms Upcoming Release Date for ‘Eternals’
One of the most divisive films in the history of the MCU has been thriving during its exclusive theatrical release; we now know when it will be available to stream as it’s being reported that Disney+ has confirmed the Release date for Eternals.
Although the film is currently still in the midst of its exclusive theatrical release window, we now know that Eternals won’t adhere to the Disney minimum of a 45-day exclusive theatrical release window; and will. instead, delay the appearance of the film on the streaming service.

According to the people on Streaming Guider, Marvel and Disney will opt to expand Eternals theatrical release window to 70 days; which would prime the film for a Disney+ release of January 12, 2022.
The delay is a surprise for some but is certainly an attempt by Marvel Studios and Disney to capitalize on the global box office numbers the film has been able to achieve since its release.

With the newest Ghostbusters film hitting theaters on Thanksgiving weekend, and James Bond’s return to cinemas still holding strong; Eternals has dropped further than past Marvel titles.
It appears as though Marvel may see the benefit of keeping the film in theaters into the new year; forcing audiences to make the decision to consume the theatrical version, over waiting over a month for its Disney+ release.

The film that chronicles what is perhaps the oldest beings on Earth, Eternals follows the adventures of 10 superpowered beings who must come together after centuries apart in order to protect the race and planet that they love from an unknown. impending threat.
Directed by Academy Award winner Chloe Zhao, the film has been lauded for its incredible visual style and was certainly praised for its unique premise in a Marvel universe that has become immense formulaic over its decade of existence.

Although there is certainly praise available for the film, there is also plenty of critics of it; with many pointing to a muddled-up narrative that is overwhelming for its runtime, lack of focus given to the majority of the characters, and a retreat into the often mundane superhero film genre tropes as hindrances.
