Spoiler Time
In the second episode of Hawkeye, Clint must retrieve his Ronin outfit from a LARPer who thinks that it’s just a cool costume. In order to do so, Clint travels to the location where the LARPers are, uh… LARPing.
Once there, he locates the guy with his costume (Clayton English), who he soon learns is named Grills.
Grills and Hakweye soon “battle” for the costume, and Hawkeye agrees to take a dive in order to allow Grills to win. But if you think that’s the last time we’ll see Grills, we have some bad news for you (and some bad news for Grills).
Hawkeye (2012)
In Hawkeye (2012), Grills is a man who lives in the same apartment building that Clint does. Over the course of the issue, Clint must protect his home, and his neighbors, from the malignant and violent machinations of the Tracksuit Mafia (bro).
But in Hawkeye (2012) #10 byFraction, Francesco Francavilla, and Eliopoulos, Grills is murdered… by Kazimeierz Kazimierczak, also known as Clown.
In other words, in the panels of Marvel Comics, Grills is killed by Clown, and in the MCU, we have actors playing both characters (with Clown being played by Fra Fee). Is Grills going to survive the next four episodes, Marvel Blog True Believers?
