Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Will Reportedly Remain in the MCU: What Does This Mean for Sony and Marvel?
With Spider-Man: No Way Home just on the horizon, it has been reported that Spider-Man will remain in the MCU; so what does this mean for Sony and Marvel?
In a recent interview with famed Sony and Spider-Man producer, Amy Pascal, there came the question of the uncertainty regarding Tom Holland’s place in the future of Spider-Man, and where the rights to the character will go after Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Pascal shocked most fans of the MCU by verifying that the character, will, in fact, return to the MCU post-No Way Home in a brand new trilogy centered around Tom Holland reprising his role as Peter Parker.
A recent GQ Interview signifying that Holland’s contract with the studios was set to end after Spider-Man: No Way Home; with the actor sounding ready to retire the mask and web in favor of the best possible future for Spider-Man.

It appears as though both Holland and Sony came to an agreement, as the MCU hero is set to appear in three more films. and bring with him a new kind of Spider-MAn story, that explores a new kind of Spider-Man.
But the question is; as Spider-Man is set to remain in the MCU; what does this mean for Sony and Marvel?

Sony has made clear their desire to build their own version of the Marvel universe; With projects like Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the upcoming Morbius, and the in-development of Kraven the Hunter film.
This commitment to appearing in the MCU for the foreseeable future should mean that those Sony characters will make appearances in the Marvel Universe; which opens up its own set of limitless opportunities for both studios to capitalize on these characters.

In 2016, it was clear that Marvel sought out Peter Parker’s return home to Marvel; with the character ready to say goodby to the MCU, it’s clear that Sony desired the collaboration to continue; a desire that must have included the introduction of their other properties to the Marvel family.
It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds, and see what’s next for Tom Hollands incredible run as Peter Parker; but first, he must get through the event of Spider-Man: No Way Home
