‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2’ First Look Coming Soon!
It appears to be the best time to be a Spider-Man! With Spider-Man: No Way Home just on the horizon, and Tom Holland confirmed by Sony for a brand new MCU Trilogy; Sony also confirmed that a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 first look is coming soon!
One of the best Spider-Man films ever made, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was an Academy Award-winning take on the character that told the story of Miles Morales; the inheritor of the mantle from an alternate universe that saw the death of Peter Parker.
The movie featured groundbreaking animation styles and a story that truly accentuated the qualities that have made Spider-Man perhaps the most endearing comic book character since Stan Lee’s first introduction almost 60 years ago.
We have championed Miles Morales- going as far as to suggest that maybe Tom Holland shouldn’t be the actor carrying Spider-Man into the future at Marvel– and his character that was presented flawlessly in that 2019 Sony film.
It appears, however, that we may finally have some updates on the long-awaited sequel as we may have a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 first look coming soon!
In the same Amy Pascal interview with Fandango that saw the longtime Sony producer confirm the new Tom Holland MCU trilogy, Pascal noted that the sequel film is, “going to be fantastic.”
She continued with an exciting tease for fans, telling the outlet, “We have something to show on that very soon.”
The first Into the Spider-Verse film was a clear triumph, and although the sequel has been kept firmly under wraps by the studio; which is very similar to the path taken by the first film.
Thus far, we know that it’s likely to see the film balance Spider-Man characters in the same way the first film did, this time centered around Miles Morales and Miguel O’Hara; better known as Spider-Man 2099, who was seen in a post-credit scene, voiced by the amazing Oscar Isaac!
With an incredible voice cast featuring some MCU mainstays such as Hailee Steinfeld who plays Kate Bishop, Mahershala Ali who will play Blade, Brian Tyree Henry who plays Phastos, Kathryn Hahn who plays Agatha Harkness, and Isaac himself who will play Moon Knight.
We cannot wait for any updates on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2, which is currently still slated for a 2022 release.
