Happy Birthday Marvelous Hailee Steinfeld!
It’s Saturday, December 11th, 2021, and that means it’s Hailee Steinfeld’s 25th birthday! If you’re here at Marvel Blog, we kind of assume you already know that Steinfeld is headlining the currently ongoing Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe series Hawkeye. But did you know that’s not the only Marvelous role played by the Sagittarius? Hint: it’s a character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse!
Spider-Steinfeld
Steinfeld plays the role of Gwen Stacy, A.K.A. Spider-Gwen, A.K.A. Gwonda, A.K.A. Spider-Woman (hey, the multiverse is a complicated place, Marvel Blog True Believers).
In the first clip we’ve seen from part one of the sequel, Gwen plays an important role, appearing to summon Miles Morales on another inter-dimensional adventure!

However, that’s not the only place you can find Steinfeld on-screen. She also appears in the Apple TV+ series, Dickinson, in the eponymous role of the poet Emily Dickenson. Fun fact, Marvel Blog True Believers: this series also features Finn Jones, who you might remember from Iron Fist on Netflix.

Steinfeld’s breakthrough role was in the movie True Grit, in which she acted opposite a grumpy old man (so she’s been ready for Clint since the very beginning). This role earned her many award nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
In addition to acting, Steinfeld is also a singer, with the albums HAIZ and Half Written Story having been released in 2015 and 2020 respectively.
