More on Captain Carter Comic Comes to Light
In an article posted to the official Marvel website on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, it was revealed that the recently announced Captain Carter comic book series would be headlined by a creative team that included Jamie McKelvie and Marika Cresta (still no word on the colorist or letterer, Marvel Blog True Believers).
More Captain Carter
This is far from the first time we’ve seen Captain Carter in the panels of Marvel Comics, Marvel Blog True Believers… and that’s not even the first time we’ve seen her! Captain Carter made her debut as a character you could unlock in Marvel Puzzle Quest as part of the game’s 75th’s Anniversary celebration of Captain America back in 2016.
Then, in 2018, she appeared in Exiles #3 by Saladin Ahmed, Javier Rodriguez, Álavar López, Chris O’Halloran, and Joe Caramagna, with a main cover by David Justin Ponsor.
More recently, she appeared in a story in the one-shot anthology Women of Marvel #1 by Elsa Sjunneson, Naomi Franquiz, Brittany Peer, and Ariana Maher.
Then, just a few months ago, Captain Carter made her on-screen debut in the animated anthology series What If…? Not only that, but it seems that this incarnation of Captain Carter, who is voiced by Haylee Atwell, will more than likely be returning in the second season of the series.
While little is known about what might be in store for the hero when her new comic series arrives in March 2022, the article posted to the official Marvel website teases that, like Steve Rogers, she may be finding herself to be a hero out of time.
