Keanu Reeves MCU Debut is Just a Matter of Time; “We Just Have to Find the Right Character.”
One of the biggest film stars on the planet has recently been rumored to make his long-awaited appearance in the Marvel Universe; well, based off of recent interviews, it appears Keanu Reeves MCU debut is just a matter of time.
On the press tour for his upcoming film, Matrix Resurrections, Reeves spoke to the media about the massive film universe that he has a strong desire to join.
The veteran actor confirmed that he and Kevin Feige have been in contact, and pointed to the reality that Keanu Reeves MCU Debut is just a matter of time.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Reeve’s was asked if the studio has found a character for the beloved actor to play, to which he replied, “We haven’t yet.”
Reeves continued, “We have met, and [Kevin Feige]’s one cool cat. Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, gotta find something.”
Based on Reeve’s sentiments about his meeting with one of the MCU’s most vital architects, it appears as though he is destined to join the Marvel Universe in some capacity; it just appears as though both sides want to ensure they take full advantage of his talents.
These remarks are on-brand with what Feige said about the actor in 2019, stating, “we talk to him for almost every film we make. We talk to Keanu Reeves about it. I don’t know when, it, or ever he’ll join the MCU. But we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”
The situation feels very similar to Vin Deisel’s quest to join the MCU in 2013; with the actor wanting to play Blackbolt originally, but working with Marvel to find the perfect character.
That character ended up being none other than Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy; a role that Deisel is still playing to this day.
Were not sure who REeves will eventually play in the MCU, but we do know that the veteran actor of the major franchise like John Wick and The Matrix is the perfect fit for the MCU.
