Two Divisive Marvel Films Arrive on Disney+
The non-MCU Marvel catalog has just gotten bigger on the Disney exclusive streaming service as two divisive Marvel films arrive on Disney+.
Over the last 20 years, there have been plenty of attempts at adapting the renowned world of Marvel comics onto the big screen; some have been clear triumphs of the medium, and some have been…well awful.
Two of the most controversial comic book adaptations have officially arrived on the Disney exclusive streaming service as the non-MCU category has just gotten a bit bigger. Giving fans the chance to travel down the annals of MArvel film history, and take in some classic adaptations attempts.
2005’s Fantastic Four, and 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, are both made available to stream currently for fans curious about the days before the MCU.
As these two divisive Marvel films arrive on Disney+, MCU fans can look to the past and theorize on just where the MCU can take these great properties, with rumors stirring on X-Men making their MCU debuts in the near future; with Fantastic Four already slated to be the final project of Marvels lauded Phase Four.
Fans of the MCU should get acquainted with these properties, as Fantastic Four and the X-Men represent two of Marvel comics’ most important teams, with their vitality to the MCU expected to be much similar.
What also makes these films interesting is the very present reality of the multiverse within the MCU.
Following the debut of former Spider-Man iterations in Spider-Man: No Way Home, there is no telling where the MCU could reach too next; with nearly every Marvel adaptation being canon somewhere in the multiverse.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could very well feature a scenario in which the entire MCU is flooded with different versions of beloved Marvel characters from throughout the multiverse.
Either way, fans can still take in these two classic Marvel adaptations for what they are; what Marvel films were like before the MCU, and Kevin Feige made them into what they are.
