Black Krrsantan
Krrsantan originally appeared in Darth Vader (2015), which also introduced the character of Doctor Aphra, a sometimes somewhat-reluctant assistant to the Sith Lord. In the final issue of the series, Vader turns on Aphra, throwing her out of an airlock…
But the rogue archeologist is rescued by none other than Krrsantan! In Darth Vader (2015) #25 by Kieron Gillen, Max Fiumara, Dave Stewart, and Joe Caramagna, Krrsantan arrives just in the nick of time to rescue Aphra from her horrible fate.
Black Krrsantan also appeared in the panels of Star Wars (2015) #20 by Jason Aaron, Mike Mayhew, Chris Eliopoulos, and Mayhew. An entry from the journals of Obi-Wan Kenobi during his time in the Tatooine desert watching over a young Luke Skywaker, this story sees Krrsantan having been hired by Jabba the Hutt in order to hunt down the Jedi due to Kenobi’s actions during the Great Drought.
Krrsantan has continued to appear in Aphra stories, including in both the 2016 Doctor Aphra run and the currently ongoing 2020 Doctor Aphra run. Sometimes he is an antagonist to Aphra, and sometimes he is an ally – as with many bounty hunters, much of his loyalty lies in whose got his credits.
Will we be seeing Aphra onscreen in addition to Krrsantan in an upcoming episode of The Book of Boba Fett or The Mandalorian? A girl can dream, Marvel Blog True Believers!
