‘Eternals’ Gemma Chan Talks Her MCU Future
A brand new Marvel star in the making, Eternals star Gemma Chan talks her MCU future, and whether or not she will be present in future installments of the divisive franchise.
One of Marvel’s projects that signified their return to force in cinemas for 2021, the Chloe Zhao-led Eternals ended up being one of the most divisive films in the history of the MCU.
Yet, with all of the mixed reviews, it still is heralded as one of the Studio’s most visually stunning films, that gives MCU fans a narrative that spans centuries of the Universe, reaching to origins.
With the film featuring a title card that read, “Eternals Will Return,” many fans expected the continuation of the Eternals franchise; yet, with some negative reviews the film received, some speculation about the future of the franchise arose.
In a recent interview with W Magazine, one of the stars of the film. Gemma Chan talks about her MCU future, and whether or not Eternals will return to MCU fans.
In a rather joking manner, the star stated, “Yes. Marvel owns us for life. [Laughs]” In response to a question as to whether or not, she would reprise her role as Sersi.
As one of the standouts of the film, it isn’t a surprise to hear Gemma Chan’s Sersi would be back, and it is also expected that her character will continue to play a major role in the evolution of the franchise.
With some of the Eternals not surviving the finale of the origin film, her role is more than secured; with many fans very curious as to how her story continues to develop.
With Dane Whitman slowly embracing the role of his character as the Black Knight, and the arrival of Harry Styles Eros into the MCU, Eternals 2 should give Marvel a brand new avenue to explore some of these century-old super beings.
