Thor’s 750th Issue to Feature Legacy Creators
In an article posted to the official Marvel website on Monday, January 10th, 2022, it was revealed that the upcoming Thor #24, which will arrive in April 2022, will be a giant-size issue that will feature multiple new stories by legacy creators, all to celebrate 750 issues of our favorite God of Hammers!
And perhaps best of all, one of the stories will be based on one of our very favorite Loki variants!
Thor #24
The main storyline in Thor #24 will pick up in the aftermath from the previous storyline, “God of Hammers,” which will see Thor succeeding in battle… but only via a scorched Earth strategy that sees all of Asgard reeling after a devastating loss. This tale will be created by a team that includes series regulars Donny Cates and Nic Klein.
However, in addition to this important main story, legacy creators from throughout the Marvel super hero’s long history will be returning to tell brand-new stories that will give them the opportunity to revisit their respective landmark runs!
First up will be J. Michael Straczynski and Oliver Coipel for a story set during their Thor saga. Next up is Dan Jurgens, who will write and draw a team-up between Balder and Thor. Simonson will write and draw a story about Beta Ray Bill, his beloved creation. Al Ewing and Lee Garbett will team up for a story that harkens back to Loki: Agent of Asgard. Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz will share a tale about Enchantress. And finally, we’ll get a story about Odin by Jason Aaron and Das Pastoras.
