Gunn Reps Peacemaker on GotG 3 Set
In a Tweet sent on Thursday, January 13th, 2022, director James Gunn Tweeted a picture of himself wearing a sweatshirt featuring an image from his new HBO series Peacemaker, sent from the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!

Peacemaker is Gunn’s new streaming series on HBO Max, featuring John Cena reprising the eponymous role, which he originated The Suicide Squad, released in theaters and on HBO Max in 2021.
The character has a demeanor that you might at first mistake for the personality you’d associate with a classic “All American” hero, but when you get to know him better, you learn he’s actually a pretty vulgar individual (if you’re thinking “this sounds like a character right out of Gunn’s wheelhouse, well, you’re not wrong, Marvel Blog True Believers).

Meanwhile, the image also confirms that Gunn continues to be hard at work on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s also worth noting that Gunn has already stated that he will be filming video footage for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction, which will be opening at EPCOT at Walt Disney World, Florida in Summer 2022, concurrently with his work on Vol. 3, ensuring the actors who appear in the movie will also be a part of the upcoming ride.

This is similar to the video footage Gunn recorded for Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure, which was filmed at the same time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was being made.
