‘Secret Invasion’ Set Photos Tease Potential Duo

Filming for the upcoming Disney+ series is well underway, while fans may have some greater insight into what to expect as Secret Invasion set photos tease a potential duo.

One of the projects etched into Marvel Phase Four slate, Secret Invasion has steadily become one of the more mysterious upcoming series for the MCU.

Following the return of the ever-iconic Nick Fury, Samuel J. Jackson will be reprising his role alongside some of Marvel’s earliest characters.

We’ve already seen our first look at Emilia Clarke, who will likely play a key role in the series, with some more released images giving fans a better look at some of what can take place during Secret Invasion; while, at the least, giving fans enough to theorize over.

Some brand new Secret Invasion set photos tease a potential duo, as two veteran MCU characters were seen filming scenes together; which could be very important for the development of the series.

Ben Mendelsohn and Colbie Smulders were seen together on the set, which could be an image of the two actors filming actual dialogue for the upcoming series.

Mendelson is known for his recurring role as Talos, the character he first played in 2019’s Captain Marvel; a role he played once again in the final moment of Spider-Man: Far From Home, as Talos was shown to have been impersonating Nick Fury for the duration fo the film.

SMoulders is known for playing the role of Maria Hill, a character who has been vital to the MCU since her 2012 role in Avengers; acting as a key member of the team.

It is not a surprise that Talos and Hill would be working together, as both have proven- over the course of their character arcs respectively- to be close allies to Nick Fury, and are likely Agents of his newfound agency S.W.O.R.D.

With there being an obvious lack of context to the images, we can only theorize that the two characters team up alongside Jackson’s Fury to face the dangers of the Skrull race; a race likely to rebel against humanity they’ve lived quietly among.
