The iconic and seemingly unstoppable Spider-Man: No Way Home was set to be the continuation of an entirely new MCU saga for the character; it appears that may not entirely be the case, as Tom Holland Casts Doubt about his Spider-Man future.
One of the biggest films in the history of the MCU, and what is perhaps the best Spider-Man story ever told, Spider-Man: No Way Home has been a critical and financial success the likes of Marvel and Sony have never seen.

The Jon Watts helmed film followed the Spider-Man: Far From Home outing of Peter Parker’s secret identity,f forcing the young hero to attempt to regain his anonymity with the help of the former sorcerer supreme, Doctor Strange.
Eventually farced to enact a spell that led the entire world to forget that Peter Parker was ever Spider-Man, Sony and Marve announced a continued commitment to their collaborative efforts in a brand new Spider-Man trilogy with Tom Holland reprising his role as the title character.

With members of the Sony brass going back and forth as to whether or not that is entirely accurate, it appears as though this and himself are urging the public, and Spider-Man fans, to not rush to the expectation of a brand new trilogy just yet.

“We’ve had conversations about the potential future of Spider-Man,” The young actor stated, “but at the moment they are conversations. We don’t know what the future looks like.”
It places the entire potential trilogy in jeopardy, and continues to make the ongoing negotiations rather confusing; on the one hand, Tom Holland has been outspoken on his willingness to continue playing Spider-Man, while also noting that he has come to terms with saying goodbye to him altogether.

It is clear that Tom Holland is perhaps the best Peter Parker that we have ever seen, and the MCU is a better place with him donning the famous costume, but time will only tell if he continues on in the demanding role.
