One of Hollywood’s most talented performers may be poised to take on his next great challenge as Adam Driver is potentially in talks to join the MCU.
There is little doubt that Adam Driver has stood out as one of the most captivating and charismatic performers in cinemas; with stoicism and presence that is unmatched.

The brooding performer has gained critical acclaim for his performances in Award-winning projects such as Marriage Story, Logan Lucky, and this year’s House of Gucci, and has been exposed to the incredible heights of fandom in the Star Wars franchise.
Yet, it appears as though the transcendent talent may be primed to step back into the spotlight of franchise films as it has been reported that Adam Driver is potentially in talks to join the MCU.

Now, let’s be very clear about this; these are very early rumors.
We are in no way advocating with the certainty of Driver’s appearance in the MCU, but there have been reports of that door being open from both sides.

The first reports have come by way of Giant Freakin Robot, who has stated that Driver is currently in talks with Marvel; although the role he would play is still nothing the two sides have spoken about.
It is certainly possible that Driver has spoken with Marvel, but with the studio’s prominence in the current cinematic landscape, it is fair to assume most actors have been in contact with the juggernaut; the bigger question is, how much intrigue is there from Divers camp? Is this something he would actually do?

If the answer is yes, there is no shortage of incredible characters that the actor would inhabit well.
One perfect choice would be Doctor Doom; with Driver’s presence and subtlety working perfectly to inhabit the gravitas and overwhelming terror within the character.

Only time will tell if Driver will actually take the leap and join the MCU- after all, things didn’t exactly work out smoothly when he portrayed famed Star Wars villain Kly Ren for three films- but we can only hope that the incredible performer can bring his brilliance to the MCU.
