Marvel’s next great multiversal epic, is set to reimagine the MCU as we know it, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is primed to transform the Universe as we know it.
Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange is poised to still be dealing with the fallout of tampering with the delicate, and ever-deteriorating, multiverse in the upcoming sequel film.
with the return of Wanda Maximoff and Wong, and the debut of America Chavez, we know that this brand new multiversal defense team will face off against the plethora of the unknown.
With speculation galore surrounding the long-awaited film, there have been theories and guesses running wild throughout the fanbase; with some anticipating the return of iconic Marvel characters and alternate reality versions of some past MCU heroes.
Many fans have gone to the source material for answers, and plenty of creators involved in comic books have taken to social media to give their own take on what could possibly be happening with some of their characters.
One of these creators is none other than Donny Cates, the Venom writer, who addresses some of those Doctor Strange 2 rumors; with the most prominent being that the king of the Symbiotes, Knull, was seen in the trailer.
Cates first affirmed that Knull is not in the trailer; then renounced that statement to say that it could very well be him.
Or maybe…it is??
I dont know. Hey it’s good to be back! Love you all! Let’s talk about fun stuff! What have y’all been up to? What’s new in comic book land!? https://t.co/me3eFHKwzP

But the question is, does it make sense?
The chance of Knull appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is very small, as he doesn’t really have a strong connection with the Doctor Strange character, nor does he have a motivation to interject with the multiverse.
He is a fantastic villain, and will likely wage war against the Earth in a later installment of the MCU, but we would guess that the monstrous character seen in the trailer is more likely the Doctor Strange villain Nightmare.
