Did Patrick Stewart Confirm his Appearance in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’?
One of the biggest reveals of the film’s Super Bowl Sunday trailer was a mysterious character that reminded a lot of fans of the X-Men franchises Professor X; did Patrick Stewart just confirm his appearance as the iconic character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
There are few films that have carried with them the level of anticipation and speculation as Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Set to build off of the fracturing multiverse that fans observed in the record-breaking Spider-Man: No Way Home, the long-awaited sequel to 2016s Doctor Strange will see the sorcerer supreme go toe to toe with alternate realities galore.
The film will pit Strange against characters that exist throughout the multiverse; and if Spider-Man: No Way Home taught us anything, it’s that the multiverse is riddled with characters that we already know.
One of the biggest rumors that have dominated headlines surrounds the return of one of Marvel’s most iconic live-action adaptations; as many fans surmised to have witnessed the return of Patrick Stewarts Professor X in the film’s latest trailer.
With many wondering, the veteran actor previously refuted original speculation on his involvement with the film; but it seems he may have just walked some of those earlier claims back.
So, did Patrick Stewart confirm his appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness? Well, you may have to be the judge yourself.
Talking on the program called Jake’s Takes, Stewart was asked about the trailer, stating:
Well, I had my phone turned off as it happened, so I didn’t hear anything,
It wasnt until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses and that my PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed unto me…
I actually didn’t recogtnize my own voice, it sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something at the time, I don’t know
But I was astonished, and all they saw was the back of my shoulder, and I think my earlobe, nothing else. There would have been so many connecitons made. But, uh, it pleased me.
It does appear as though Patrick Stewart confirms his appearance in the upcoming film, by speaking about how shocked he was that people inferred his own involvement from the trailer.
We cannot wait to see Stewart reprise the iconic role for the upcoming film, and fully expect Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be the wildest MCU film to date.
