One Year Ago the Scarlet Witch was Born, as Fans Celebrate the One-Year Anniversary of the ‘WandaVision’ Series Finale
Marvel fans are celebrating this month as the one-year anniversary of the WandaVision season finale; the date that the Scarlet Witch was born.
Marvel Disney+ series has proven to be one of their best investments yet; giving fans the opportunity to explore some of their favorite characters and their stories that aren’t directly tied to the overarching MCU narrative.

Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Hawkeye were all tremendous explorations into some beloved MCU characters; but the greatest of the bunch would end up being the fantastically creative and ambitious WandaVision.
Wanda Maximoff has undoubtedly been firmly perceived as one of the strongest characters in the entire MCU, and with her seemingly tortured past, and the grief that she has constantly faced, it seemed fitting to give the character her very own series.

What birthed from that story was the truly haunting and painful past that engulfed the person that Wanda is, while being matched with the equally torturous realities of her current life; with everything the character loved, and everything that she had longed for, being taken from her.
Wanda lost her family as a child, and when she gripped tightly to her brother- the only remaining member of that lost family- she eventually lost him too.

The character was taken under the wind of Captain America, being chosen to be a part of a new generation of Avengers heroes; a young, grieving, superpowered young woman desperately trying to do right by a world that has continually berated her.
She eventually found love, only to have it also taken from her; which would go on to birth the events at West View and the story fans were taken into within WandaVision.

Ultimately, during a season finale that saw the character confronted by her pain, and the absence of people she loved most, the Scarlet Witch was born.
A moment that fans have clamored for from the very beginning, Scarlet Witch remains one of the MCUs most dangerous entities, and her role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness should only grow the lore of the character, and what her pain has created.
