‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Runtime Reportedly Revealed
Marvel fans are in for quite the adventure, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness runtime is reportedly revealed, and it is going to be one of Marvel’s longest.
There are few Marvel projects that have been able to boast the level of anticipation and fan engagement as the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The film is not only the long-awaited sequel to 2016s Doctor Strange but the first MCU film that follows the record-breaking success that was 2021s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will feature Marvel’s resident sorcerer facing the deteriorating multiverse, as he confronts alternate realities and a plane of existence in the MCU that could very well be falling apart before his very eyes.
The film will see the return of the incredibly powerful Wanda, the present sorcerer supreme in Wong, and the debut of dimensional traveling America Chavez; all while Doctor Strange faces off against brand new multiversal threats, and more than one variant of himself.
With all of that set to be addressed in the upcoming sequel, it stands to reason that the film is looking to be one of the MCUS longest; a fact that we may now have a definitive answer for, as the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness runtime is reportedly revealed.
Reported by ComicBook.com, who received the information from Brazilian ticketed Ingresso– the film is looking at a 148-minute runtime; a development that will place the film in rare company as far as how long it is.
If the 148-minute mark is accurate, it would make the Doctor Strange film the fourth-longest MCU entry to date; only shorter than Eternals, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Infinity War, while being as long as Spider-Man: No Way Home.
two hours and twenty-eight minutes is absolutely a long film, but considering everything that the Sam Raimi helmed epic is seeking to explore, it feels as though Marvel is going to need every second of it to tell the story they truly want to tell.
