Walt Disney World Announces Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Opening Date!
A brand new attraction arriving at Epcot at Walt Disney World has just informed fans of its official start date, as Disney announces the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opening date!
There is no denying that one of the most popular franchises in the vast and ever-expanding MCU is the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The James Gunn-helmed universe has had an indelible impact on the MCU and the patented Marvel mold, with the director’s signature brand of comedy bleeding into nearly every project, and the film’s unique aesthetic coming to define the entire cosmic realm of the Marvel Universe.
With the holiday special quickly approaching, and the team hard at work on the conclusive and highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans got some tremendous news today as Disney announces the Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind opening date.

With James Gunn and various Disney accounts, posting to social media that news would arrive Monday, the news did come; with the official opening date of the long-awaited attraction announces as May 27th!
The attraction was first announced at the D23 Expo in August of 2019, and fans have been clamoring for when the incredible intergalactic roller coaster would be set off.
Opening in 2022, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla, will be one of the largest fully enclosed roller coasters in the world. Featuring the first reverse launch on a Disney coaster, the family-friendly adventure takes guests on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy. (Disney/MARVEL)
The coaster will see guests aid their favorite Guardians as they attempt to save the Nova Corps outpost stationed at Epcot, as time is unraveling.
It will be interesting to see how Walt Disney World utilizes aspects of the film such as Xandar, and the various interplanetary settings of the Marvel Universe within the ride.

We do know that it is a brand new type of roller coaster brought to life by the brilliant engineering minds that make up Disney Imagineers; with the brand new Guardians of the Galaxy being one of the few Marvel-themed attractions found at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
We cant wait to try it for the first time, and report back to all of our MarvelBlog readers whether or not it holds up to the great expectations of the massive MCU!
