Michael Giacchino Breaks Silence on Directing MCU’s ‘Werewolf by Night’
It was a rumor that many fans questioned but ultimately came to fruition as legendary composer Michael Giacchino has finally broken his silence on directing the MCU’s Werewolf by Night special.
There are few projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are as shrouded in mystery and uncertainty as the Halloween special rumored to debut on Disney+, Werewolf by Night.
The special is set to focus on the same character of the Marvel comics universe, in a special that should be very unique to the traditional MCU project.
With the announcement of the Halloween special, many fans questioned who would be responsible for bringing the character to life, and rumors swirling that one legendary icon could helm the project in his very first outing as a director.
As it turns out, that rumor proved to be true, as that same icon has recently spoken on the opportunity, as legendary director Michael Giacchino breaks his silence on directing the MCU’s Werewolf by Night.
Talking to ComicBook.com, Giacchino stated, “I’ve been having a blast. It’s an incredibly challenging process. I love it, every day, I’ve been having fun working on it and we’re in the middle of it.”
Giacchino continued, “Hopefully, very soon we’ll share a lot more about it. Year. There’s not much I cant say other than I’m having a good time and I am working on something that I love. So, that’s a win-win right there.”
Although this is his very first time in the director’s chair, Giacchino has been a tremendously accomplished composer for over two decades.
Working on some of the biggest projects in the history of the entertainment industry from television series like LOST, to massive film projects like Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
His most recent work came in the most recent Pixar project, Lightyear, following tremendous success in the Warner Bros, The Batman; we cannot wait to see what he has in store with the upcoming Werewolf by Night
