‘Wonder Man’ Will Reportedly Introduce MCU’s Hollywood
Yesterday saw the surprise announcement that one of Marvel’s most interesting Avengers will make his live-action debut in his very own Disney+ series, we now have some more info on that series, as Wonder Man will reportedly introduce the MCU’s Hollywood.
It was news that was a surprise to nearly every Marvel fan around the globe, as various trades and websites reported on the news that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would introduce Wonder Man.
He is a very powerful- albeit very obscure- Avenger who will be the main character in his very own Disney+ series; helmed by the man responsible for bringing Shang-Chi to life, the immensely talented Destin Daniel Cretton.
Very little is known about the timeline for the series, or who could potentially play the title role- let alone who the directors of every episode will be but we do now have some insight into what the show could bring to the MCU that doesn’t exist there already.
Wonder Man will reportedly introduce the MCU’s Hollywood, as new reports suggest that the series could take a satirical look at the film industry within the Marvel Universe films; which would make perfect sense for Simon Williams’ Wonder Man.
This is all new insight that came from Variety’s Joe Otterson- the man responsible for breaking the news of the series in the first place- who stated, “I have also heard that this show could be a Hollywood satire, but that is not 1000% confirmed.”
I have also heard that this show could be a Hollywood satire, but that is not 100% confirmed. It would make sense given Wonder Man's backstory as an actor and stuntman in the comics #WonderMan https://t.co/RJ8PLFg7G8

Otterson added, “It would make sense given Wonder Man’s backstory as an actor and stuntman in the comics,” which is completely true as to how Cretton and Company could go about adapting him to the live-action film franchise that is the MCU.
One actor that has been closely connected to the character of Wonder Man is Nathan Fillion, who was set to play him in a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 deleted scene that featured various Simon Willaims movie posters; while Fillion also voiced the character on the M.O.D.O.K Hulu series.
