Aaron Taylor-Johnson Explains What Makes Sony’s Kraven Different
He is a character is slated to be the next installment of Sony’s film universe of Spider-Man characters, but he may be vastly different than the comic book version that fans know; as the film’s star Aaron Taylor-Johnson explains what makes the film version of Kraven the Hunter different.
It has been a film franchise that has had its ups, and it’s very low lows, but is still in the early stages of developing a vast collection of characters for future installments.

Sony has already had one of the biggest box office successes of all time, and it has attempted to parlay that into its very own film universe of characters based on its premiere property.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is Sony’s most successful film ever, and with their attempts at developing a film universe of Spider-Man characters, there have been varying degrees of success; yet, nothing that reaches the appeal of its 2021 mega-hit.

Following small successes with Venom, and the subsequent Venom: Let there be Carnage, Sony released the poorly performing Morbius; which has become more known for its status as a running joke than a serious contender in the film world.
Sony continues onward, however, with a character that could prove that Morbius was just a fluke, as the studios are slated to bring Kraven the Hunter to the big screen

This version of the character will not be the version that fans are so accustomed to, however, as the film’s star, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, recently spoke on what makes Sony’s Kraven so different.
In an interview with Variety, Taylor-Johnson stated the character is, “one of Marvel’s most iconic, notorious anti-heroes- Spider-Man’s number one rival,” adding that he is, “Not an alien, or a wizard. He’s just a hunter, a human with conviction.”
Taylor-Johnson concluded, stating the character is, “an animal lover and protector of the natural world.”

Although it is an interesting take on the villain, it doesn’t entirely stay true to the source material- a source material that has depicted Kraven as a ruthless hunter who is obsessed with, first and foremost, hunting the strongest animals in the Marvel Universe.
