Sam Raimi Confirms ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Deleted Scene of Horrific Death

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a film that only promised the unimaginable to fans, with endless possibilities on hand for Doctor Strange and Wong amidst the boundless and endless alternate realities of the multiverse.
A film that marked the book for the multiversal narrative that has become such a focal point of Phase Four, the return of iconic director Sam Raimi to the world of comic book films, and the return of the iconic Wanda Maximoff as a true villain, it was a project that delivered on every single aspect.
Easily standing as the first true horror film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe almost included an additional, and undeniably terrifying scene, as director Sam Raimi confirms a Doctor Strange 2 deleted scene that would feature a horrific death.
It was reported by ComicBook.com, that Sam Raimi himself stated that the villainous Scarlet Witch mean to, “kill [Mordo] and cut his head off… [and] presented it to Strange in a later scene.”
The deleted scene in question was one we reported on previously, in which the Scarlet Witch would sever the head of Baron Mordo, and unveil it before Doctor Strange in a scene that would foreshadow the tremendous danger that she would place on the characters in the film.
It would have been a tremendous scene that certainly executed in showcasing how powerful Scarlet Witch is, but the film perfectly accomplishes this without that scene included.
