Daredevil Stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio Confirmed for ‘Echo’
They are two of the unsung heroes of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it appears as though they will be returning with crucial roles in the enigmatic new series coming to Disney+, as Daredevil stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are confirmed to return in Echo.
The arrival of both of these iconic characters in the MCU’s Phase Four is certainly a moment to remember for Marvel fans, but also a moment that solidified to Marvel Studios the immense popularity and fan adoration of these two characters.
Both were relegated to the Marvel Netflix series- which is easily one of the most underrated projects that the MCU has ever developed- and with the ending of the Marvel Netflix collaboration, many fans anxiously awaited the day Marvel would integrate them into the overarching Marvel Universe.
That came in Phase Four, where both characters seemingly made their arrivals in tremendous projects, just seemingly months apart.
Matt Murdoch arrived as the legal counsel to Peter Parker and Happy Hogan in Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Wilson Fisk was one of the main antagonists from the Hawkeye series on Disney+.
With rumors swirling that both of the characters would be set to make their return, it turns out that it may officially be happening, as ComicBook.com has confirmed both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are confirmed for the upcoming Echo series.
There were plenty of rumors that this would be the case, considering how closely connected the characters are in the source material, with many believing that this won’t be the last of the Netlfix series characters to make their way into the overarching MCU.
Although the collaborative effort between the two companies produced some series that may not have been well received, they certainly made a lot of tremendous projects together; with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage all being tremendous.
Time will tell what further details arise from this news, but the important part is that these two criminally overlooked pieces of the MCU are set to arrive sooner rather than later.
