Alden Ehrenreich Reportedly Joins ‘Ironheart’ Series
An MCU arrival that is among the most exciting for fans, as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is set to introduce Riri Willams; with her solo series already in the works, it has been reported that Aldren Ehrenreich is joining the developing Ironheart series.
It is a character that has quickly become one of Marvel comics’ most interesting and beloved, as Riri Williams has embraced the mantle that Iron Man surrendered, becoming the hero known as Ironheart.
She has consistently been among the fan-favorite Marvel heroes for a younger generation, and it was always only a matter of time until the young Williams made her live-action debut in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.
That debut is just on the horizon, with Williams set to make her debut on the big screen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; the film that is next up in the MCU’s Phase Four slate of films, penciled in for a November 2022 release.
It has long been announced that the character is getting her very own Disney+ series continuing her exploration that is set to begin in the highly-anticipated Black Panther sequel, and the cast is shaping up with some new additions.
It has recently been reported by Variety that former Star Wars Han Solo actor Aldren Ehrenreich is joining the brand new Ironheart series in an undisclosed role.
This news arrives as the cast has continued to be slowly revealed to us, with the series already reportedly casting Dominque Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, and Manny Montana on top of the now joining Ehrenreich.
Although having done a lot of films prior, Ehrenreich is most known for playing the titular bounty hunter, Han Solo, in the Ron Howard-helmed Solo: A Star Wars story, which marked the first time that a lot of viewers encountered the young actor.
With the rumors pointing to the series still looking for its villain, it comes to reason that Ehrenreich could be the man to play the antagonist of this brand new series.
