‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Trailer Gives First Look at Namor
It was among the most enigmatic films of Phase Four, and had long been rumored to introduce this iconic Marvel hero to the world of the MCU, as the recently revealed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer gives our first look at Namor.
For all the wrong reasons, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the long-awaited Black Panther sequel; with fans anxiously awaiting any kind of information regarding how the franchise would choose to move forward following the horrific and untimely death of Chadwick Boseman.
It was a developing story that made the sequel film one of the most enigmatic and mysterious of Phase Four, and led to a plethora of speculation and rumors surrounding just who the franchise could introduce; with one long-rumored name officially being revealed.
With Marvel’s massive San Diego Comic-Con panel ending with the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer, fans got their first look at Namor and his MCU Debut.
The sometimes hero sometimes the villain is played by Mexican actor Tenohc Huerta, and following previous leaks that showed potential looks for the character, we now know that the king of Atlantis is showing up in the sequel film, and he looks a lot like those promo images suggest.
The debut trailer was a breathtaking display of the talents of director Ryan Coogler, and it features some of the most beautiful shots that we’ve seen from Marvel films, all the while foreshadowing what should be one of the best character origins to come in the story of Namor.
The trailer seemed to point toward the character’s struggle to navigate his life as both a human and an Atlantean, with him constantly embraced by a kind of person that has blue skin, and needs a breathing apparatus to exist above the water.
He could play a massive role in the movie, as it seems that he will begin to wage war against the Wakandans, which promises to be a conflict that could change the nation in the MCU as we know it.
