Loki Season 2 Has Been Announced For Phase 5
Our heads are spinning at the sheer magnitude of amazing announcements coming out of SDCC! Included in these announcements was the entire upcoming slate for phase 5 with Loki Season 2 set for summer 2023!
The first season of Loki had massive implications and began the chain reaction that culminated in the destabilizing of the multiverse. When Loki and his variant Sylvie reached ‘He Who Remains’ killing him and causing something of a massive distortion that even affected Dr. Strange’s spell in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

‘He Who Remains’ was eventually revealed to be the infamous Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror, or at least a more good-natured Kang who had kept the sacred timeline in place to protect all of the inhabitants of the multiverse. Loki himself even attempted to stop Sylvie from committing the murder but failed, kicking everything into motion.
When we last see Loki, he is back at the TVA headquarters and runs into Agent Mobius who does not remember who Loki is. Adorned all over the TVA offices are statues of Kang, but this Kang appears to be much different from the Kang that Loki had met.

We can make the presumption that Loki season 2 will pick off where season 1 left off. Already Tom Hiddleston has confirmed that the entire cast that was present for the first season will be returning for season 2. There are still so many unanswered questions that remain, starting with what happened to Sylvie, Mobius, and Kang.
Kang has been confirmed to feature in Ant-man and The Wasp: Quantumania and phase 6 of the MCU will feature a film titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. What role Loki will play in these films is entirely unknown, but we can speculate that whatever takes place in season 2 will have massive ramifications for the future of the MCU.

We are so incredibly excited for both Phase 5 and Loki Season 2! With a myriad of new heroes introduced in Phase 4, we cannot wait to see how the MCU will change and what role will Loki play in it all.
Will Loki’s path to redemption and heroism continue? Or will he return to his trickster ways!
