‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ is Poised to be the Biggest MCU Film of All Time
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to deliver its 30th installment ever, and with some of the biggest team-up films in the history of the industry, we may still not have seen the universe at its fullest potential, as Avengers: Secret Wars is poised to be the biggest MCU film of all time.
Marvel Studios made their triumphant return to the lauded stage at Hall H after two years of San Diego Comic-Con being postponed, and they had what may have been the biggest announcement panel in the more than a decades worth of films.
Kevin Feige returned to the stage and announced the next two years of films to come in the MCU, and highlighted the restructuring that established the end of Phase Four, Phase Five, and Phase Six in the massive panel that blew away expectations from Marvel fans.
There was so much for fans to dig into, theorize over, and anticipate, but one thing is fairly certain after the announcements that took place; we may not have seen the Marvel Universe at its grandest, with one entry announced having the potential to surpass all that has come before it.
It Phase Four has taught Marvel fans anything, it is that the current incarnation of the Marvel Universe is trying its absolute best to surpass everything that has come before it; this has not been clearer than the start of Loki, a series that went out of its way to make Infinity Stones, as significant as paperweights.
And with that throughline building towards the massive team-up movies that are set to bookend Phase Six, it is clear that Avengers: Secret Wars has the potential to be the biggest MCU film of all time.
Secret Wars is a concept that takes the furthest reaches of the Marvel Universe and collides them on the battleworld stage, and is among the most ambitious comic book runs in the history of the medium, bringing together different variants of beloved Marvel heroes.
The MCU equivalent has the potential to introduce other incarnations of heroes we have never met in the MCU, and some variants of heroes we know and love; with the film only limited by the imagination of those developing it.
The X-Men, the Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and so many more are on this collision course, and with the endless bounds of the multiverse to play with, there is no telling what Marvel could craft into this massive and genre-defining event that could surpass the epic Avengers: Endgame.
