Daredevil is the Biggest Winner of MCU’s Phase Five
With Marvel completely redefining its film slate for the next two years, there are plenty of projects that have gotten fans immensely excited, but one thing is abundantly clear from the various announcements; Daredevil is the biggest winner of the MCU’s Phase Five.
Marvel Studios took the stage at Hall H in this month’s San Diego Comic-Con returns and completely restructured the project schedule that many fans had assumed was unchanging; reimagining the Phase Four and Phase Five slate of movies and series to better organize the coming team-up events.
One thing was very certain from fans who were in attendance,e this restructuring and reorganization reformed a certain sense of continuity to a Marvel Cinematic Universe that has felt rather disjointed in its recent releases.
Thor: Love and Thunder and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness were both very good films in their own right, but many fans missed the days of the MCU building towards something, with the entire trajectory of the Universe in conjunction.
That has seemingly returned, and among the massive projects announced, and various characters set to interact within upcoming series and films, there is one character that got the benefit of a reimagined Phase Five; Daredevil is clearly the biggest winner of the MCU’s next era.
He is among the most beloved and interesting Marvel heroes, and fans had been clamoring for his return since the arrival of his Neetflxi collaborated series that saw Charlie Cox bring Matt Murdock to life for the very first time in the MCU.
Fans fell in love with his incarnation of the fan-favorite hero, and since that series ended years ago, fans had been clamoring for his return; and they finally got that in Phase Four, as both Cox’s Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk arrived.
Not only did Daredevil get his very own 18-episdoe series, but he is set to make an appearance in She/ Hulk arriving this month, Echo, and Spider-Man Freshman Year; with the character almost certainly poised to become a massive part of the MCU moving forward.
