‘She/Hulk’ Image Promises a New, but Old, Daredevil
With the release of the series’ second trailer, fans were clamoring for any kind of update on the potential appearance of Matt Murdock, as there was undeniable excitement when he was referenced; and with fans finally getting their wish, the brand new She/ Hulk image promises a new, but old, Daredevil.
Since the announcement that a She/ Hulk series was in development, it has felt as though Marvel fans have been clamoring for it to include another iconic super-powered lawyer that would be set to interact with the Hulking public defender in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The excitement surrounding Jennifer Walter’s arrival in the massive film universe can not be understated, as she has evolved into one of the more interesting characters in the pantheon of Marvel heroes; but her status as a legal expert who doubles as a superhero is a status that she shares with another hero.
Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters exist in the same, very specific, space in the Marvel Universe, as both are lawyers by day, and vigilantes by night, and it is in that shared perspective that makes them fan-favorites among the many Marvel heroes they interact with.
It is the similarities and shared qualities that also had fans excited to see if Matt Murdock would make an appearance in Jennifer Walters fast approaching series; and with Charlie Cox’s iconic return as the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans were eager for more details.
They got those details, and their excitement was answered with confirmation, as one of the most recent trailers for the series showed off what was a small sneak peek at the hero; and with that taste came the appetite for so much more, which Marvel answered this week
Recently the series gave a first look at what would be Cox’s return to the MCU, and with that first look comes the reality that She/ Hulk is promising fans a new, but old, Daredevil; one that is revitalized from his absence in the universe, but the same one fans met during his Netflix series.
From the suit- although his incarnation is gold in hue- fans could observe a very similar design to that. of the Netflix series; and with some lingering questions surrounding whether or not this version of Murdock would be a carryover, or a small reboot, of his Netflix version, fans can rest assured.
Daredevil is back, and this is both a version of the character that we know and a version still set to be developing before our very eyes.
