Marvel Announces Brand New ‘Invincibile Iron Man’ Series
He has elevated to become one of the most beloved heroes in Marvel’s history, through his appearances in the MCU and in the comic book universe; and he’s now getting reimagined, as Marvel announces a brand new Iron Man series.
There are few characters who have been able to achieve the same cult status that has been Tony Stark’s in recent years; as the hero has been catapulted to a folk hero in the realm of Marvel comics, and the subsequent Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Arriving on the big screen with an adaption in 2008 that launched the MCU as we know it, Tony Stark’s legacy was completely transformed from a comic book character that never quite had the same sales as his counterparts, to a beloved hero that is a fan-favorite.
It has always been a complicated legacy for the hero, but we are certainly existing in the golden age, as – despite the characters passing in the film franchise- there is an entire generation of viewers and readers who view Starka s one of their favorite heroes.
That is proving to catapult what is a reimagining of sorts for the beloved playboy billionaire, as Marvel has recently announced a brand new Invincible Iron Man series, that will seek to place the character in his most difficult challenge yet.
The series is set to hit shelves this December, as he approaches his 60th anniversary, and is coming by way of writer Gerry Duggan and artist Juan Frigery, that will construct a story for the hero that is among his darkest yet.
