Harry Styles Casts Doubt on Marvel Future
He was one of the biggest reveals of Phase Four, and he was slated to be one of the most vital parts of the latest MCU franchise to be orchestrated, but it seems like those plans may yet be put in limbo for the time being, as Eternals star Harry Styles casts doubt on his Marvel future.
There are few bigger stars on the planet than the man who showed up during the post-credit sequence of what may have been the most underwhelming project of the Marvel Cinematic Universes Phase Four slate.
A film that tackled the bigger concepts of deity, history, and humanity ended in a way that brought immense hope to fans of those characters and that prospective franchise; that it would be moving forward, and eventually become a vital part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There was already a lot of doubt about a possible sequel after the film underperformed to critics, and financially, but a recent statement by the man tasked with being a huge part of the potential sequel has created some worry for fans.
In a recent interview, Harry Styles cast some doubt on his Marvel future, as his role as Starfox may not factor in overwhelmingly to the artist’s future plans.
Speaking to Rolling Stones, Styles stated, “It’d be funny if that was it, wouldn’t it? I don’t imagine I’d do a movie for a while.”
Talking about acting as an art form, Styles added, “I think there’ll be a time again when I’ll crave it, but when you’re making music, somethings happening. It feels really creative, and it feeds stuff. A large part of acting is the doing nothing, waiting thing.”
The pop star continued, “Which, if that’s the worst part, then it’s a pretty good job. But I don’t find that section of it to be that fulfilling. I like doing it at the moment, but I don’t think I’ll do it a lot.”
It is unfortunate for Marvel fans that Starfox may not be present for some time, but it does make sense from Styles’ perspective; the acting was never really his dream, and we can only hope that it becomes a part of his future for that characters sake.
