Marvel has Reportedly Found its Fantastic Four Director
There are few projects as important to the continuation of the MCU expansion as the film that is set to kick off the highly-anticipated Phase Six, and with this long-awaited reboot impending, MArvel has reportedly found its Fantastic Four director.
It is no secret that few projects in the vast and ever-expanding slate of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are as important to get right as the upcoming revitalization of the live-action Fantastic Four.
Marvel’s first family has long been one of the comic book industry’s most beloved teams, and their presence within the medium since their inception so many years ago has led to some of the biggest and most memorable storylines that Marvel has ever crafted as a publication.
It is this constant presence and adored existence that has intertwined them into the very fabric of the Marvel universe, with the team developing into a fan-favorite status that is rarely seen by its peers throughout the modern-day world of the Marvel Universe.
That same adoration is why the upcoming live-action adaption by Marvel Studios is so important, as the team is finally joining the massive interconnected film franchise, and is slated to be a pinnacle collective as the MCU moves forward.
That expectation from fans, and the vitality of this film working the way that it needs to for the greater scheme of the MCU, has led to one of the longest and most interesting directorial searches that Marvel has ever executed, but it seems to finally be heading towards its conclusion.
It has recently been reported by Deadline that Marvel has reportedly found its Fantastic Four director, and it is none other than the previously rumored Matt Shakman; the man already known to Marvel Studio and fans as having helmed the phenomenally well-received WandaVision series.
Time will only tell if this appointment will be what is best for the Marvel Universe, but Shakman is a proven commodity in the Marvel world and should be able to bring his signature creativity to a team that is carrying the weight of the Marvel Universe on their shoulders.
