She/Hulk Possibly Teased the Return of one Forgotten MCU Villain
The latest episode of Marvel’s newest series continued the coronation of Jennifer Walters into the MCU. It began establishing what could be the very first superhero business of the project thus far, as She/Hulk possibly teased the return of one forgotten MCU Villain.
Fans anxiously awaited what would come out of the previously announced She/Hulk project arriving on Disney+, and with three episodes under its belt right now, it seems as though the lofty expectations we had for it have remarkably paid off.
There is a very unique feel to this series that wasn’t present for the previously Disney+ MCU releases, with She/Hulk focused on the very unique perspective of Jennifer Walters, and the unique attributes that have separated her from her peers throughout her run in the comic book universe.
Although the first few installments have been incredibly entertaining, Walters has yet to truly embrace her first superhuman challenge outside of what took place in the closing moment of the third episode, with the group of criminals attempting to steal her blood in an abandoned alleyway.
It seems as though this may not be just a throwaway moment used to showcase Walter’s incredible power, but it could possibly hint at a much larger criminal enterprise that is lurking to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting Marvel Universe.
Some clues show that She/Hulk could be teasing the return of one long-forgotten MCU villain.
In that closing sequence, when the team of criminals composed themselves enough to escape, it was made unknown that they were actually attempting to steal the blood of Jennifer Walters; with one stating that the “Boss” wasn’t going to be happy at their failure.
There is a lot of evidence that this could be signaling the return of one character that hasn’t been seen since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk; a villain known as The Leader in the comics, Samuel STersn was shown in the film as a collector and experimenter of Bruce Banner’s Blood.
It was ultimately Sterns’ work that created the version of Abomoniation that caused so much destruction to the city, and with his presence unknown, since the film saw his brain enlarge after exposure, it would make sense for the scientist to seek out Gamma-radiated blood in hopes of furthering his research.
