Marvel and Skydance Video Game Rumored to Appear at D23
It was a collaboration that went under the radar earlier this year, but with big plans in motion, the Marvel and Skydance video game is rumored to make an appearance at D23.
One of the biggest days of projects under the Disney umbrella is almost here, as this weekend features the highly-anticipated D23 event.
This is an event that is known for its massive announcements from every corner of the Disney world; including Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and- you guessed it- Marvel Studios.
A lot of fans will be key in to see what gets announced, shown, and teased at this year’s events, with a lot of MCU content surely to come.
But there is also a focus placed heavily on Marvel’s efforts made in the world of video games, with a separate Marvel and Disney games panel set to be live streamed.
With so many titles potentially being shown at the event- including the highly anticipated Spider-Man 2 from Insomniac Games- there is the potential that something brand new arrives.
There has been some speculation in recent weeks that the Marvel and Skydance video game is rumored to make its debut at this weekend’s D23 event.
For many fans, it was an announcement that went by without a lot of fanfare earlier this year, as Marvel and Skydance Media chose to collaborate on a brand new video game project.
Very little was known about what this project would be, outside of it being often described as a Marvel ensemble video game, and is headed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig.
The Skydance Studio is fairly new but was brought together by Hennig and former EA executive Julian Beak to craft a new corner of the market that focuses on interaction entertainment options across different mediums.
There is no telling what this project could be, with its interactive focus creating limitless potential, but we can only hope that this weekend gives us some updates on what’s to come.
