Don Cheadle Talks About His Role in the Upcoming ‘Armor Wars’
With so much coming out of Anaheim this past weekend, D23 was also the stage where Don Cheadle discussed his role in the upcoming Armor Wars.
There is no denying how important events like D23 have become to some of the largest and most passionate fanbases on the planet.

The Disney-led event has become one of the biggest on the calendar and presents every band under the Disney umbrella to discuss what’s in the pipeline for the coming year and beyond.
Marvel, as is to be expected, took the opportunity to share with fans all of the tremendous projects that are primed to come to fruition in the next year, and spoke in depth about so many streaming series and films that we had only been able to speculate about.

Among those was the James Rhodes story that is primed to be one of the most interesting of Phase Five, and with fans’ excitement at an all-time high, Don Cheadle talked about his role in the upcoming Armor Wars, and what fans can expect.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Cheadle stated, “[Rhodey is] at a very different place in a way that is something I can’t talk about, but it’s going to be very surprising to a lot of people.”

Cheadle added, “And the great this is there’s just going to be so much opportunity to learn a lot about him and for him to learn about himself and for us, hopefully, to really be able to get behind what makes him tick.”
“If you know anything about the lore,” The actor continued, “and you’ve read the comic books, you understand that its a series that was built around Tony’s Stark Tech getting out and Rhodey taking it on to go get this tech back from the bad hands, the bad actors whose hands it is in.”

Cheadle concluded, “And as Marvel does, it also an opportunity to take the mythology and tip it on its head a little bit and come up with different ways to tell the story, so it’s doing that and has done that in spades.”
