Alaqua Cox Talks the Incredible Importance of ‘Echo’
She is an undeniable star after her MCU debut in Hawkeye, as Alaqua Cox has talked about the incredible importance of Echo.
There was so much massive content revealed at the D23 convention that took place this month, where Marvel head Kevin Feige took the stage to discuss all of the massive projects on the ledger for the next few Phases of the MCU.
The event gave fans the opportunity to learn more about these various projects from the people involved in them and presented the chance for fans to uncover various details that had only been the source of major speculation beforehand.
One of those projects spoken about was Echo, the series that will follow the character who made her MCU debut in Hawkeye and proved to be invaluable to Marvel’s story moving forward.
With her ties to Kingpin, her incredible narrative, and the massive talent of the actress who brings her to life, there is so much for fans to be excited about as the series approaches.
Speaking about her role in the MCU, and her upcoming series, Alaqua Cox talked at D23 about the incredible importance of Echo.
As reported by ComicBook.com, Cox stated, “I grew up not seeing anyone that looked like me on screen, so now this generation will be able to have someone- a person of color who deaf- that they can see, so having this authentic representation is amazing.”
Cox continued by stating, “It’s just so crazy that I’m getting my own show after Hawkeye. That was like my first acting role ever, I don’t know why they’re giving me this opportunity, but I’m just grateful. I’m excited for the support and being able to advocate for the Deaf community.”

Cox concludes by stating, “We want to have that equality and get more people involved. I’m just so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given.”
