Is the Daredevil Hype Bad for ‘She/Hulk’?
He had been the focal point of the series’ very first trailers, but with the sixth episode still not paying off the tease, it leads us to ask; is the Daredevil hype bad for She/Hulk?
Marvel’s newest Disney+ series is already six episodes in, and with three remaining it already stands as one of the most entertaining Marvel projects to ever be released.
Jennifer Walters has long been one of Marvel comics’ most interesting and beloved heroes, and despite fan concern over how the MCU would adapt the hero, it has been a brilliant project that has certainly done her justice.
Tatiana Maslany is a fantastic performer and has proven to be the perfect choice to play the title character, and with a creative team as brilliant as Jessica Gao, Kat Coiro, and Anu Valia behind her, the MCU has flaunted a series that is certainly among its best.
With the phenomenal series that we’ve gotten, and the plethora of phenomenal reviews, there seems to be one fact that has dominated headlines early today; the absence of Matt Murdock.
He was the talk of the series premiere trailer, and an easter egg in episode 5 led many to believe he would finally make his return, but with the questions still present, it leads us to ask the question; is the Daredevil hype bad for She/Hulk?
The answer, thus far, has to be a no, as the lack of Daredevil hasn’t seemed to hurt the veiweship- as much as we know- and it certainly hasn’t skewed the show’s reception.
But it has taken attention away from what is one of the MCU’s best debuts in Phase Four, and the arrival of a character that could be one of Marel’s most important in Jennifer Waters.
The reality is, Daredevil probably shouldn’t have been shown in the San Diego Comic-Con trailer, at the very least, and at most he shouldn’t have been teased at all, as it not only would’ve been an incredible surprise to see the character debut, it would’ve allowed fans to focus on, and embrace, She/Hulk.
