Tenoch Huerta Reveals What Draws Namor to the Surface in Black Panther 2
It is an MCU arrival that may be one of the most exciting of Phase Four, and we now know the reasoning, as Tenoch Huerta reveals what draws Namor to the surface in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Throughout the entire Phase Four slate, there were a few projects that had fans as curious and excited as the sequel to 2016s Oscar Nominated Black Panther.
A film that carried over from the events of Avengers: Endgame, and continued to explore the nation of Wakanda and its people, there was perhaps no production that was shrouded in the mystery of this MCU entry.
More so than mystery, it was also a production that had as tumultuous a road to its release as any, with countless setbacks and tragedies being heard through the grapevine during its development.
Not only did the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman rid the film of its beating heart, but COVID-19. pandemic and injuries to key cast members were all a part of the journey to get the film prepared for its theatrical release.
And that time is finally almost here, and with the project two months away, fans’ excitement has only gotten more intense since the first trailer debuted at San Diego Comic-Con.
One of the most exciting reveals from that trailer is the villain, who is set to wage war against Wakanda; in a recent interview, the man who plays that villain, Tenoch Huerta, discusses what brings Namor to the surface in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Speaking with Empire, it’s revealed that, “he’s drawn to the surface by the ramifications of T’Challa’s decision in Black Panther’s final reel to reveal the truth of Wakanda to the world.”
Huerta then states, “that decision puts Talocan in jeopardy,” Huerta then adds, “And Talocan has to take action to protect themselves.”
It is interesting to observe Namor’s venture to confront Wakanda being a direct fallout of the nation making itself known to the world, but it will certainly be an intriguing story to present in the upcoming sequel.
