Daredevil is Officially Back in the MCU
It was a moment that fans had waited for since the very first trailer for the series, as this She/Hulk episode has made it clear; Daredevil is officially back in the MCU.
There is no denying that Marvel’s newest series is among the most entertaining that the MCU has ever created, and it seems like every passing episode only solidifies that fact.
Tatiana Maslany has been absolutely brilliant in the title role, and her iteration of Jennifer Walters has proven that she was the perfect choice to bring this iconic character to life.
That performance has also been supported by what is one of the best creative teams on a Marvel project, with writer Jessica Gao, and directors Kat Coiro and Anu Vaila being the perfect choice to round out this new series.
All of that is just further proof as to why this series was the perfect setting for the return of Matt Murdock, and following fans’ anxious awaiting, She/Hulk episode 8 has solidified that Daredevil is officially back in the MCU.
This is your warning that we will be discussing SPOILERS! So, if you haven’t seen the episode, go watch it, and come back here!
The penultimate installment of the latest MCU Series saw Matt Murdock make his triumphant return to the courtroom against Jennifer Walters before the two ran into each other taking part in some superhuman activity.
One thing is absolutely certain after seeing his appearance in this series; She/Hulk’s Daredevil may be the best adaptation of a self-actualized version of the character that we’ve ever seen.
This incarnation of Matt Murdock was immensely funny, charming, and immensely charismatic in a way that didn’t lessen his signature brooding, but only added more nuance to it.
What we got was a version of Murdock who has fully embraced his persona, and whose experience as the vigilante has only made his balance of both a much easier task.
This was the perfect carry-over from the version of the character that we saw in his Netflix series and should be the perfect version of the character that proceeds the highly-anticipated Daredevil: Born Again series.
