Charlie Cox has One Request for Daredevil: Born Again
He was one of the most beloved Marvel heroes of the MCU, and with his triumphant return in Phase Four, and the promise of more of his stories in the future, Charlie Cox reveals his one request for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.
It was a moment that occurred with relentless applause from fans, as Spider-Man: No Way Home delivered the return of Charlie Cox to the role of Matt Murdock, and the confirmation that the Netflix Daredevil series would be continuing on in the MCU.
There was so much uncertainty after the collaboration between both Marvel and Netflix was no more, but with the character’s appearance in both the third MCU Spider-man film and as a very important character in She-Hulk, Matt Murdock is most certainly here to stay.
More than that, it was announced that the character would be getting this very own 18-episode Disney+ series, as he would be explored in a brand new way following his return.
And in anticipation of that, Matt Murdock himself, Charlie Cox, has one request for the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.
Speaking to GQ, Cox stated, “I’ve learned that these questions are a little tricky because the problem with them is that if I start detailing things I’d like to do, then very quickly, it becomes a news story. It potentially gets in the minds of not only the fans but asl other creators and writers.”
Cox added, “I really want to be careful not to muddy those waters because if it turns out to be a good idea, it can be a shame because it robs the fans of that moment of discovery. So forgive me for being a little bit vague in this area.”
Cox concluded, “I guess what I would say is; hopefully, on the Disney+ show, Born Again, we will be able to use- and I hope that we do it sparingly, I believe it should be used sparingly- but we’ll hopefully be able to use a tiny bit more CGI in the action sequences.”
Cox rounded out his statement by noting that it would be “Just to emphasize his gymnastic abilities that have been basically impossible to do.”
