‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Has Been Renewed For Season 3
Just weeks after Charlie Cox seemed to indicate that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 would be the final season of the Daredevil revival, the series has been renewed for Season 3.
During a recent interview with IGN, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of streaming, television, and animation, told IGN that filming would begin next year on Season 3.
“In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum said.
For a series that was almost canceled before it ever aired, the renewal of Daredevil: Born Again is a testament to the men and women behind the show and its dedicated fan base.
How ‘Born Again’ Came To Be
To recap, Daredevil: Born Again was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2022. Although Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio were confirmed to return as Daredevil and Kingpin, the series was expected to serve as a reboot, separate from the original show.

Unlike the darker, grittier Netflix series, Born Again was envisioned as a lighter, more legal drama-focused show.

During the 2023 Hollywood strikes, however, Kevin Feige and his team viewed the completed episodes of Daredevil: Born Again and decided it wasn’t working.
The Overhaul
Eventually, Marvel would replace showrunners Matt Corman and Chris Ord with Dario Scardapane. Additionally, the decision was made to tie Born Again into the original Daredevil show.

To that end, much of the original Daredevil cast and crew returned. This included Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page).
The decision to overhaul Daredevil: Born Again not only fundamentally changed the series but also had broader implications for the MCU. To tie Born Again into the original series, Marvel finally deemed the entire Netflix Defenders Saga canon.

As is evident by today’s news, Daredevil: Born Again has been an undisputed success for Marvel. It has also provided a blueprint for the studio’s television moving forward.
