The Russo Brothers Share Cryptic ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Photo

The Marvel world is abuzz this morning after the Russo Brothers posted another cryptic photo on social media.

As the countdown to Avengers: Doomsday has continued, anticipation for the film has reached a fever pitch.

Earlier this week, the first teaser trailer for Doomsday was leaked, showing Steve Rogers enjoying familial bliss.

“Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” the teaser concluded.

Now, the Russos have added even more fuel to the fire.

A Cryptic Post

Yesterday, Joe and Anthony Russo took to Instagram to share a grainy black-and-white photo.

The cryptic post, which appears to show a “V” shape, was accompanied by the caption “#AvengersDoomsday.”

While the Russos did not give any context for the image, and little is discernible in it, that has not stopped fans from running rampant with rumors.

What Does It Mean?

Among the most prevalent internet theories are that the image refers to “five”, meaning the number of days until the film’s trailer comes out, Victor von Doom, or perhaps even Ghost Rider, as the image seems to resemble Robie Reyes’s jacket logo.

The Russo Brothers have been known to share cryptic images going all the way back to Avengers: Infinity Wars. Usually, however, it is impossible to discern anything from them.

For now, we will have to wait and see exactly what the brothers are teasing.
