Time to Make the #@$% Chimichangas: COOKING WITH DEADPOOL in 2021
If every meal you try to cook ends before it begins with, “Wait. Maybe we should consider other options,” then, Deadpool has your, er, “Bulging Mussels” in COOKING WITH DEADPOOL.
The name “Merc with a Mouth” doesn’t just refer to what comes out of Wade Wilson’s mouth; it also refers to what goes into it. And thanks to COOKING WITH DEADPOOL, you’ll be able to cook over 60 recipes that will keep you eating just like your favorite mercenary!
Why COOKING WITH DEADPOOL?
Why is it that Deadpool has become the superhero most closely related to food? Look, a regenerative healing factor takes a lot of energy. And some Canadian jerk with Adamantium claws already claimed “cheap beer” as his trademark source for replenishing the calories burned off by his superheroic metabolism.
And besides, who else are you going to go to for cooking advice in the Marvel universe? Squirrel Girl doesn’t know how to cook anything but peanut butter on peanut butter sandwiches. And, these days, Spider-Man lives out of hot dog carts and bodegas!
And who wants to live on wheat cakes anyway? Wheat cakes might be useful for carbo-loading, but they do not sound very appetizing.
Diners, Drive-Ins and Deadpools
Never fear, True Believers! Your buddy Wade Wilson has you covered with this handy tome of recipes narrated by Daddy ‘Pool himself. From “Chick-arrones” to “Stabby Meat-Sticks” to – of course – a variety of Chimis, this guide will give you everything you’re looking for in a meal (and then deep fry it).
Plus, there are recipes inspired by many of Wade’s misadventures (like “Zen-Pool’s Organic Bowl” and “Shiklah’s Special Sauce”) and some of his closest allies/antagonists (eat like a mutant with “Cable’s Cuisine: Ranger Pudding” or the “Krakoan Salsa”).
Hungry Hungry Headpool’s Helpful Hints
In addition to unique recipes, some pages will allow Master Chef Deadpool to share some of his cooking knowledge. For example, there are tips to remember when frying food and how to go about choosing the right knife (Wade has a LOT of experience with that one).
COOKING WITH DEADPOOL comes from the creative team of Marc Sumerak and Elena Pons Craig. Published by Insight Editions, the 144-page hardcover cookbook will be available on February 21st, 2021, with a suggested retail price of $29.99.
