Jeremy Renner Gives Fans a Hawkeye Sneak Peak!
Filming for Hawkeye, the new Disney+ series, is underway and Jeremy Renner has shared a sneak peak with fans!
Clint Barton in New York City!
This week, Renner, who stars as Clint Barton (also known as Hawkeye), shared photos from the set on his Instagram Stories.
The photo reveals the back of Renner, who is seated in his Hawkeye set chair. The photo appears to have been taken in the New York City subway.
Mum’s the Word on the Series
We now know that filming for the series has (finally) kicked off, but there’s not much else new to report.
Hailee Steinfeld was recently confirmed for joining the production as Kate Bishop, but we don’t yet – officially – know of additional casting.
Who is Kate Bishop Anyway?
Kate took on the Hawkeye name and assembled a group of young super heroes in the comic book series Young Avengers. At the time, Hawkeye was presumed dead and the Avengers had disbanded.
Fans do not know when or how the time gap that saw Barton become a vigilante in Avengers: Endgame took place. Many are hoping to see an explanation in the new television series.
What we do know is that Barton returns and takes it upon himself to train Kate Bishop, a skilled fighter and incredible marksman. He even shares the Hawkeye name with her! It’s a dysfunctional relationship that works with Bishop squarely in the role of protege.
One More Clue…
There is one more hint of what’s to come revealed in a set photo… In the picture below, fans can see Hawkeye holding a quiver pack with the SHEILD organization’s logo. (Admittedly, you need to look at the photo very closely!)
Could this mean a crossover is likely with another series? Only time will tell!
