JENNIFER LAWRENCE Filming Fantastic 4 in Australia?
According to a report from the Daily Telegraph, Jennifer Lawrence is headed to Australia to take part in the filming of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Fantastic 4 movie! Could the rumor be true? If so, you could win big if you bet on Jennifer Lawrence in the Fantastic Four casting speculation in Las Vegas, Nevada?

The report relies on information from an “alleged source,” so maybe file this S.W.O.R.D. dossier under “Salt; with a grain of.” However, here at Marvel Blog we are prepared to offer you some speculation in this trying time!
But as usual, we have to warn you that if you want to remain spoiler-free, you will want to make sure you are fully caught up with WandaVision on Disney+ before continuing on with this article, or reader beware. That’s through “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” the seventh episode of the season, which was released for streaming on Friday, February 19th, 2021.
Who Could J-Law Be Playing?
There are plenty of roles that Lawrence might be playing in the upcoming MCU Fantastic 4 movie. Some people are speculating (e.g., CBR) that she may be playing Sue Storm, who was played by Jessica Alba in the 2015 Fantastic Four adaptation.

However, with some of the meta casting shenanigans that have been taking place on WandaVision, there’s another possible role Lawrence might be playing – or rather, reprising: Mystique!
Now, wouldn’t that just be fantastic!?!
Could She Be Returning to the Role of Mystique?
Lawrence played Mystique in several of the Fox Studios Marvel mutant movies, beginning with 2011’s X-Men: First Class (the role had previously been played by Rebecca Romijn, beginning with 2000’s X-Men).

With Evan Peters – who played Quicksilver in the 2014 Fox Studios film X-Men: Days of Future Past (and several other movies) alongside Lawrence’s Mystique – having appeared on WandaVision as (maybe) Pietro Maximoff, it seems at least possible that Lawrence might be returning to her mutant role, as well!

Does that seem too far-fetched? Well, consider this: many of the Fantastic 4’s adventure involve inter-dimensional travel (they even visit a parallel universe with the undead in the very first Marvel Zombies story, which we’ll be getting a version of in the upcoming Disney+ series, What If…?).
The Return of Marvel’s Marvelous Mutants
Which one of the Marvel Marvelous Mutants from the Fox Studios movies do you hope to see make an appearance in the MCU now that Marvel Studios has the rights to the X-Men? Which portrayal was your favorite from the Fox era of movies?
