What If Sebastian Stan Was Luke Skywalker?
It’s been a rough weekend (for me) so let’s have some fun this Monday. What do you say? Do I hear the Sebastian Stan stans saying: “Heck Yes!”?
Over the weekend, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star was asked about the fan-castings that are swirling around him appearing as a Jedi Knight in a forthcoming Star Wars project because of Stan‘s resemblance to a young Mark Hamill.
Sebastian Stan Appears on GMA
While doing press for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (the second episode, “The Star-Spangled Man“, aired March 26th), Stan was asked about rumors of him playing a young Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, saying that he wouldn’t star as a young Luke unless Hamill – an iconic actor in his own right – gave his blessing.
“If Mark Hamill called me, personally, to tell me he feels inclined to share this role with me, then I will believe it. Until then, I won’t believe it,” Stan said on Good Morning America.

However, considering Hamill just played a younger version of himself in the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney+ (to the delight of fans), it doesn’t seem likely that he’ll be giving up the Skywalker part anytime soon.
Hamill Stans Sebastian Stan
As the GMA hosts pointed out, Hamill has commented about Stan’s striking resemblance to a younger version of himself repeatedly, and he’s obviously such a fan of the actor that he’s sort of adopted him as a son.
Hamill has joked on multiple occasions that his son is Stan, once tweeting, “Sorry to disappoint you but I refuse to say ‘Sebastian Stan-I AM YOUR FATHER!’ (even though, in fact, I am).”

Then, on another occasion, Hamill tweeted that he was beginning the believe that Stan is actually his son (because he behaves the same way adult children behave).
Wishing Sebastian Stan the happiest of birthdays.🎂 I'm beginning to believe he might actually BE my son, cuz just like @NathanHamill & @GriffinHamill, he never calls…he never writes…C'mon kids- would it kill ya to drop your old man a line? #Ingrates😠 pic.twitter.com/T0zGyVOYBm

Then, there was the time that Bucky and Lukey met and pitched the idea of Hoth Winter Soldiers – is this a crossover like Plant X? Who would lose an arm in Hoth Winter Soldier, anyway?

Finally, Hamill showed that he knows a compelling story when he thinks of one: soooo… who’s the father now?
How about a Science Fiction Adventure with a twist? I travel back in time & Sebastian plays MY father! 😲 #SciFiSonOfSebastian
